How to Use "Pleased" with Example Sentences

Pleased (adj): satisfied; happy

Used with verbs:

"She looks pleased."
(looks, sounds, seems, appears, be: am/is/are)

Used with adverbs:

"I am very pleased with your work."
(very, extremely, fairly, rather, quite, really)

"He was especially pleased to see her."
(especially, genuinely, truly, clearly, obviously, quietly, secretly)

"I am always pleased to see you."
(always)

Used with prepositions:

"Are you pleased with the service?"
(with, by)

"I was pleased about the situation."
(about)

"She was pleased at the way it turned out."
(at)
