1) Vice Admiral Ravneet Singh, assumed charge as the Deputy Chief of Naval Staff on Tuesday, taking over from Vice Admiral M.S. Pawar, who superannuated on May 31.
👉Ravneet Singh was commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 1, 1983 and he specialised in aviation. The Flag Officer is a qualified flying instructor with Master Green instrument rating.

2) Nine Months after he retired from the Supreme Court, Justice Arun Mishra took charge Wednesday as chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).
👉 Justice Mishra became a judge of the apex court in 2014 after having served as Chief Justice of the Rajasthan and Calcutta high courts. He retired from the Supreme Court on September 2, 2020.

3) Rajnath Singh has approved a proposal of the Dep of Military Affairs to notify the ‘Second Positive Indigenisation List’ of 108 items.
👉 It will help in fulfilling the twin objectives of achieving self-reliance and promoting defence exports.
4) T.M. Kalliannan Gounder, the last surviving former member of the Indian Constituent Assembly, died at the age of 101 at Thiruchengode in western Tamil Nadu.
👉Kalliannan Gounder was born on January10, 1921 at Akaraipatti village in Namakkal. He joined the Indian National Congress at the age of 19 and participated in the Quit India movement.
